A big passion to explore and discover new places made him start traveling to other parts of Mali where he learned about the country's diverse tradition and history. Very soon he started exploring the Mauritanian desert and charming villages of Niger and Burkina Faso, now with many trips behind him. He spent a year in Ghana perfecting his English language skills and recently drove all the way to Senegal to finally swim in the ocean on the beautiful beaches around Dakar. She first set foot in Mali in 2009. In 2010 she founded Papillon Reizen in Ségou. Monique steered the agency through the many crises the country and region faced. She grabbed the opportunities of every crisis to expand the agency’s activities and destinations and to build a strong team.<br>During the 2020 crisis Monique felt it was time for another shift in her life and moved out of Mali. In November 2021 she handed the company over to Abdoulaye, team member from the first hour.
